Hiring: Experienced Real Estate Development Controller
Englewood, NJ or Midtown Manhattan | Full-Time | In-Office
We are a NYC-based developer & GC focused on ground-up multifamily — is looking for a Controller to lead all accounting & financial functions across its growing development platform. This is a high-impact role working directly with ownership.
What You’ll Do:
Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple development entities
Oversee equity, loan draws, distributions & capital activity
Handle construction loan draws & lender reporting
Prepare financials, budgets & forecasts
Build scalable systems, controls & reporting infrastructure
Work closely with PMs to align development & GC accounting
What We’re Looking For:
3+ yrs accounting/controller experience in real estate development (multifamily preferred)
Strong QuickBooks & Excel skills
Familiarity with construction lending & investor reporting
Detail-oriented, organized, collaborative
Compensation: $120K–$150K base (DOE) + benefits
