A 5 Towns, NY accounting firm is hiring a senior accountant. Job involves managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, preparing financial statements, assisting in financial planning processes, working closely with auditors and tax professionals, collaborating with clients, as well as training in junior accounting staff. Looking for someone with at least 5 years of prior accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Candidate must be proficient in QuickBooks, Xero or a similar accounting software. Looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred. Candidate must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Huge plus if the candidate has experience in an outsourced accounting firm or a similar environment. Salary is commensurate with experience and hours.
Mon-Thurs, 9 am-5 pm, and Fri, 9 am-1/2 pm
