Bookkeeper / Controller

Salary: $130-$140K

About the Company

We are an established and growing construction company based in Rockland County, managing multiple active projects and vendors. We are seeking a Bookkeeper / Controller to oversee day to day accounting while providing financial control, reporting, and operational support to ownership.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for full-

cycle bookkeeping and accounting oversight for the company. The Bookkeeper /Controller will manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll coordination, job cost tracking, financial reporting, and cash flow management.

Key Responsibilities

• Full cycle bookkeeping AP, AR, bank and credit card reconciliations

• Job costing and project level financial tracking

• Payroll processing and coordination with payroll providers

• Monthly financial statements and reporting to ownership

• Cash flow management and budgeting support

• Vendor payments, lien waivers, and subcontractor tracking

• Coordination with CPA for tax filings, audits, and year-end close

Qualifications

• 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in construction

• Strong understanding of job costing, retainage, and progress billing

• Experience with Quickbooks 

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
