Oversee daily accounting operations, prepares complex financial reports, ensures GAAP compliance, and manages month-end closing processes. Key responsibilities include reconciling accounts, analyzing financial data for accuracy, assisting with audits, mentoring junior staff, and improving internal controls to optimize company performance.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide insights to management.
  • General Ledger & Reconciliation: Oversee daily accounting activities, maintain the general ledger, and perform bank/balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Month-End/Year-End Close: Lead the closing process, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and expense recording.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies. Prepare documentation for external auditors and assist with tax filings.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Experience: 5–10 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred or highly desirable.
