Job Overview
A growing accounting and advisory firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fractional Controller / Senior Account Manager to join the team in a senior leadership capacity. This is a strong opportunity for someone with solid technical accounting experience who is also comfortable managing people, overseeing client accounts, and working within a structured, fast-paced remote environment. The ideal candidate is sharp, organized, professional, and able to take ownership of both the financial work and the client service process.
Key Responsibilities
- Train, manage, and guide bookkeepers and account managers.
- Review financial statements and oversee the quality of client work.
- Design and improve accounting operations workflows.
- Clean up historical books and set up new charts of accounts.
- Handle monthly and yearly financial closings, including accruals, deferrals, and journal entries.
- Support budgeting, projections, and financial analysis.
- Prepare financial statements for audit, review, and compilation engagements.
- Onboard clients and manage accounts using the company’s established processes, spreadsheets, software, and internal systems.
Requirements- At least 5 years of relevant accounting and bookkeeping experience, including monthly and yearly financial closings.
- A strong understanding of accounting principles, balance sheet, profit and loss, accruals, deferrals, and journal entries.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Microsoft Office.
- U.S. accounting experience is strongly required.
- Experience with Amazon and e-commerce inventory accounting is also important.
- A CPA is preferred but not required.

Schedule and Work EnvironmentThis is a remote role requiring 30–40 hours per week with U.S. hours / Eastern time overlap. The company operates in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is looking for someone who can grow with the organization long term.
Compensation$80,000–$140,000, depending on experience.
