Job Description
SINAI Schools is seeking a highly motivated Special Education Assistant Director for SINAI@YCQ in Queens, NY. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field with at least 5 years of teaching and administrative experience in an educational setting (special education preferred).
Responsibilities
Assess and develop curricula for multiple classes and age groups (from ages 6-14) for students with special needs
Supervise and provide constructive feedback to teachers
Conduct behavioral planning and incident management
Facilitate collaboration among the team to maximize each student’s potential
Lead professional development and growth opportunities for teachers
Communicate regularly with parents
Facilitate the process of written student evaluations
The expected salary range is between $90,000-$110,000.
