Job Posting: Associate HR Director (Brooklyn)
Schedule: Full-time (36 hours/week)
Reports to: Director of Human Resources

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Associate HR Director to lead HR operations across our Downstate locations. This role oversees full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, policy compliance, and HR process improvement. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and skilled at building strong relationships at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment and guide hiring managers
- Oversee onboarding and conduct New Hire Orientation
- Support new hires during their probationary period
- Serve as the main resource for employee relations and HR policy guidance
- Manage performance concerns, PIPs, and employee investigations
- Conduct quarterly check-ins and support employee engagement initiatives
- Review and update HR policies and documentation
- Assist with compensation discussions and salary benchmarking
- Oversee offboarding, exit interviews, and coordination with IT and benefits
- Support communication, corporate events, and HR projects
Qualifications
- 4–5 years of progressive HR experience
- Strong experience in recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations
- Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws (NY preferred)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organization, documentation, and project management abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
