Overview

A growing commercial door and hardware supplier is seeking an experienced Estimator / Takeoff Specialist to join the team. This role focuses on reviewing project drawings, preparing door and hardware takeoffs, and producing accurate estimates for commercial construction projects. For the right candidate, this position can evolve into a Project Management role overseeing jobs from award through completion. This is a specialized role and experience in the commercial door and hardware industry is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural plans and specifications for commercial projects
• Perform detailed door, frame, and hardware takeoffs
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for pricing and availability
• Work with sales and operations teams to finalize bids
• Maintain organized documentation of estimates and project details
• Assist with project coordination and scheduling when projects are awarded
• Support transition into project management responsibilities over time

• Experience in the commercial door and hardware industry (required)
• Experience performing takeoffs and estimating for commercial projects
• Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Organized and able to manage multiple bids simultaneously
• Strong communication and coordination skills
