FP&A Analyst / Merchandise Planner / Data Analyst – Fashion Meets Numbers
Location: New York, NY (Onsite, 5 days/week, near Penn Station)
Compensation: $55K–$75K (depending on experience)
Do you love fashion AND spreadsheets? We’re seeking a Merchandise Planner / Data Analyst who can crunch numbers, spot trends, and keep our products flowing while bringing an eye for style. If you can rock a pivot table as easily as you track sell-through rates, this is your dream role!
What You’ll Do
30% Administrative Fun
- Set up new styles in the system and ensure proper categorization.
- Keep products moving to partners like NuOrder, Rithum, and retail dropship accounts.
- Verify product descriptions and upload images.
70% Analytics Magic
- Analyze weekly retail sales, sell-through, and KPIs.
- Spot risks/opportunities across styles, retailers, and brands.
- Track pricing from launch through clearance.
- Monitor stock levels, reorders, and new product launches.
- Help move slow sellers while protecting sales and margin goals.
- Prepare month-end and season-end reports to guide future buys.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Merchandising, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in planning, allocation, inventory management, or buying (internships count!).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, XLOOKUP).
- Detail-oriented with a true love of numbers.
- Passion for fashion with the ability to blend creativity + analysis.
