Overview

Our client, a growing mobile wound care provider, is seeking a results-driven Business Development / Sales Representative to drive strategic partnerships across the care continuum. The role focuses on building referral pipelines from hospitals, home health agencies, senior living facilities, and more. This is a fully field-based role ideal for a self-starter with a strong network in healthcare and a proven sales track record.


Key Responsibilities

  • Referral Channel Development
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospital discharge teams, social workers, SNFs, physicians, and care coordinators in senior communities.
  • Referral Generation & Qualification
  • Proactively identify leads, follow up diligently, and maintain CRM documentation and pipeline discipline.
  • Internal Collaboration
  • Work closely with clinical and nursing teams to ensure smooth patient transitions and exceptional care delivery.
  • Performance Tracking
  • Meet/exceed monthly goals for referral volume and revenue; report progress via tools like Salesforce or similar CRMs.
  • Market Insights
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and reimbursement updates to strengthen market positioning.


Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of external healthcare sales experience (home health, wound care, medical devices, etc.)
  • Established relationships with referral sources (hospitals, agencies, senior care facilities)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly independent and self-motivated
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily across the service area


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field
  • Understanding of wound care therapies and treatment workflows
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and senior care reimbursement models
  • Previous experience with hospice or home care services
