Overview
Our client, a growing mobile wound care provider, is seeking a results-driven Business Development / Sales Representative to drive strategic partnerships across the care continuum. The role focuses on building referral pipelines from hospitals, home health agencies, senior living facilities, and more. This is a fully field-based role ideal for a self-starter with a strong network in healthcare and a proven sales track record.
Key Responsibilities
- Referral Channel Development
- Build and maintain relationships with hospital discharge teams, social workers, SNFs, physicians, and care coordinators in senior communities.
- Referral Generation & Qualification
- Proactively identify leads, follow up diligently, and maintain CRM documentation and pipeline discipline.
- Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with clinical and nursing teams to ensure smooth patient transitions and exceptional care delivery.
- Performance Tracking
- Meet/exceed monthly goals for referral volume and revenue; report progress via tools like Salesforce or similar CRMs.
- Market Insights
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and reimbursement updates to strengthen market positioning.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of external healthcare sales experience (home health, wound care, medical devices, etc.)
- Established relationships with referral sources (hospitals, agencies, senior care facilities)
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Highly independent and self-motivated
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily across the service area
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field
- Understanding of wound care therapies and treatment workflows
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and senior care reimbursement models
- Previous experience with hospice or home care services
