Location: Lakewood, NJ

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated HR Manager to oversee day-to-day HR operations across multiple locations and report directly to the Director of Human Resources. This role is mission‐driven, aligning operational HR efforts with strategic goals and ensuring a values‐centered, inclusive workplace. The successful candidate will work closely with a largely Orthodox Jewish workforce and must be adept at supporting religious observance—including holiday scheduling, dietary laws, gender considerations, modesty, and community norms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives in support of organizational objectives

• Be the primary advisor on employee relations, resolving conflicts, conducting investigations, and handling disciplinary actions or performance issues

• Oversee benefits and compensation administration—ensure compliance, equity, and alignment with workforce needs

• Identify process improvements and execute innovative HR practices to enhance efficiency, culture, and employee experience

• Maintain and report on HR metrics: turnover, engagement, performance, training, staffing trends

• Ensure adherence to all applicable labor laws, regulations, and company policy across all locations

• Support cross‐site consistency in HR processes and policies

• Champion initiatives around work-life balance, wellness, flexible scheduling, and community-aligned benefits

• Facilitate cross‐training and continuity programs to support operational resilience

• Keep sensitive, confidential information secure and handle with discretion

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field

• Minimum of 5 years’ progressive HR experience in a multi-site or multi-state setting, including leadership experience

• Deep understanding of employment laws and HR best practices

• Experience with MS Office and HR systems/HRIS platforms

• Prior experience working in or with culturally observant communities is strongly preferred, and adaptability to align HR practices with religious norms is required

Working Conditions

• Primarily office-based work with occasional movement around facilities

• Prolonged computer use and multitasking in a dynamic environment with frequent disruptions

• Respect for religious observance is essential, including early closures on Fridays and Jewish holidays

Compensation

This HR Manager position offers a highly competitive compensation package well above industry norms, reflecting our commitment to investing in an experienced and culturally aligned leader to support our values-first, multi-site workforce.

Recruiter's Take (Michael Schlager)

Position Overview: Site Lead – Agile Growth Environment

We’re seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to take full command of our local operations. As the sole on-site leader, you’ll be the driving force behind day-to-day execution, reporting directly to a senior executive who is on-site once a week and available remotely the rest of the time. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in autonomy, embraces responsibility, and is energized by rapid growth and transformation.

Why This Role Is Unique:

This isn’t just another job—it’s a launchpad. You’ll be joining a new company with a bold Agile Development roadmap, designed to integrate multiple businesses over the next year. The pace of change here is intense: what most companies achieve in a decade, we plan to accomplish in just one to two years. That means your impact—and your resume—will grow fast.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A proactive leader who can operate independently and make confident decisions.
  • Someone who values structure, metrics, and KPIs as tools for growth - not red tape.
  • A team builder who’s passionate about developing people, not replacing them.
  • A change agent who sees opportunity in challenge and thrives in a fast-moving environment.

What We’re Not Looking For:

  • Individuals who prefer to be told what to do every step of the way.
  • Those uncomfortable with accountability or resistant to change.
  • Anyone who isn’t excited about becoming great at what they do.

The Culture:

We’re building a positive, mission-driven, and growth-oriented culture. If you’re assertive, adaptable, and ready to lead from the front, this is your chance to be part of something transformative.
