Job Title: Morning Special Education Teacher

School Type: Elementary School – Language-Based Program
Schedule: Morning Hours
Salary: $40,000–$60,000 (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Morning Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elementary-aged children with language-based learning differences and be committed to fostering a nurturing and structured classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction tailored to students with language-based learning challenges
- Develop and implement IEP goals and differentiated lesson plans
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other support staff
- Monitor and document student progress and communicate effectively with parents and team members
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Participate in regular team meetings and professional development sessions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (required)
- New York State Certification in Special Education (Grades 1–6 or equivalent)
- Experience working with children with language-based learning disabilities preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and a team-based approach
