Job Description
Established Home Care Agency in NY/NJ seeking a highly skilled and experienced Billing & Finance Manager to oversee critical financial functions within our agency. This role includes managing Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), payroll processing, and acting as the primary liaison with our outsourced billing company. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of home care operations, particularly with HHAeXchange and Medicaid billing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and reconcile A/R and A/P
- Coordinate with outsourced billing partner to ensure accurate and timely billing
- Oversee and process payroll for agency staff
- Generate and analyze billing and financial reports
- Ensure timely submissions through HHAeXchange
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on collections
- Support compliance audits and reporting requirements
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a home care agency financial or billing role
- Proficiency in HHAeXchange
- Strong understanding of Medicaid billing, A/R, A/P, and payroll practices
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial software
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Familiarity with NY/NJ Medicaid billing regulations
