Tuition Manager and Attorney SINAI Schools
As the only Jewish Special Education school accredited by the prestigious Middle States Association of
Primary and Secondary Schools, SINAI Schools is widely recognized as one of the country’s leading
Jewish schools for children with disabilities and special needs. SINAI currently operates seven schools,
including two elementary schools and three high schools in NJ and two elementary schools in NY, all of
which are integrated within a regular education Jewish partner school.
The Tuition Manager and Attorney will report to the Director of Tuition and Counsel. This a full time,
and as of now, a hybrid position, requiring in office work two (2) days per week, and also occasionally
requiring evening and weekend work.
A growing number of our students come to SINAI as unilateral placements under IDEA.
Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate and work with parents and their special education lawyers, and school staff
Review and approve educational and legal documents
Respond to document requests, including discovery, hearing, settlement and subpoena requests
Prepare SINAI staff for testimony at impartial hearings and/or IEP meetings
Manage and track litigation
Counsel senior management on legal related issues
Counsel and advise Program Directors and educational staff on legal related special education matters
Provides training and guidance to schools
Monitor education-related policies to develop best practices

Qualifications:
Law firm, Non-profit Foundation, or Government experience recommended
Demonstrated interest in Special Education
Excellent organization, writing and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail
Must be a motivated self-starter
Prior experience working with databases and/or excel spreadsheets
Outstanding time management skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment with a high
volume of work
Ability to work collaboratively with Parents, Parent Attorneys and SINAI educational Staff;
Ability to work in a discreet manner, maintaining confidentiality
Preferred computer skills–proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word; Google Drive including Google
Docs, Sheets; ability to learn relevant databases
JD Degree, Admission to New York and/or New Jersey Bar
