We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead land development projects from concept through completion. This role combines hands-on engineering design with team leadership, client coordination, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate can manage multiple projects while ensuring quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage and/or independently execute civil engineering land development projects
• Oversee preparation of construction documents for residential, commercial, and industrial developments
• Perform design tasks including site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and earthwork
• Prepare stormwater calculations, reports, flood studies, and flood hazard permitting
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (NY/NJ)
• Maintain technical accuracy and adherence to engineering standards
• Lead and coordinate Engineers, Designers, and Drafters
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies
• Prepare proposals and written correspondence
• Support other departments with engineering expertise as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 6–12 years of civil engineering experience
• PE license preferred
• Strong land development and site/civil engineering background
• Knowledge of NY or NJ land use regulations and permitting processes
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (concept through completion)
• Strong experience in grading, drainage, and site development
• Stormwater, hydraulics, and hydrology expertise
• (HydraFlow, HydroCAD, StormCAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or similar)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Leadership experience with staff mentoring and development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
