The Opportunity

A mission-driven organization is seeking a high-caliber Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team.

This is a unique player-coach role for a financial leader who combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution and is comfortable being involved in day-to-day operations.

As CFO, you will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity and ensuring resources are managed effectively to support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Leadership

1. Partner with senior leadership and the board to provide financial insights, strategic planning, and decision support.

Financial Operations

1. Oversee accounting, budgeting, cash flow, and internal controls. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Compliance & Reporting

1. Lead preparation and review of the Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR). Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Audit & Liaison

1. Serve as the main point of contact for auditors, banks, and regulators. Manage the full audit process.

Team Management

1. Supervise and mentor the finance team while remaining involved in core accounting functions as needed.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
2. CPA preferred, or 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
3. Experience managing complex financial operations
4. Direct experience with CFR preparation (required)
5. Experience in regulated environments
6. Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a hands-on role
