Job Description
Location: New Jersey
Salary: $75,000–$90,000, commensurate with experience
Teach NJ, a division of the Orthodox Union, is seeking a relationship-driven professional to expand community engagement, strengthen school partnerships, mobilize grassroots supporters, and cultivate donor relationships throughout New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with parents, educators, rabbis, donors, lay leaders, and community stakeholders
- Lead grassroots advocacy campaigns and community outreach
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit prospective donors
- Recruit and empower volunteers and community ambassadors
- Plan advocacy days, parlor meetings, school visits, briefings, and community events
- Strengthen relationships with member schools and recruit new school partners
- Track engagement, donor outreach, and volunteer participation
- Represent Teach NJ at community meetings and events
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, community engagement, grassroots organizing, sales, client management, or a related field
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Comfortable conducting donor meetings and making direct funding requests
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with New Jersey’s Jewish community and day school landscape strongly preferred
- Willingness to travel throughout New Jersey and occasionally work evenings or weekends
