Facility solutions company is seeking an experienced, hands on CFO to lead the full financial function for a multi state, labor intensive facility services business operating across 300+ locations in 9 states.
Key Responsibilities
- Own all accounting, finance, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Lead monthly and annual financial close and ensure accurate, timely financial statements
- Present monthly financial results, KPIs, forecasts, and variance analysis to the CEO and ownership
- Manage FP&A, annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning
- Oversee cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, credit facilities, and working capital
- Drive accounts receivable, collections, billing accuracy, and cash conversion performance
- Oversee accounts payable, purchasing controls, and vendor payment processes
- Manage multi-state payroll for a large hourly workforce, including payroll controls and compliance
- Own job costing and site-level profitability analysis across hundreds of client locations
- Monitor labor costs, overtime, staffing efficiency, contract margins, and customer profitability
- Establish and track company-wide financial and operational KPIs
- Partner with operations to improve margins, control costs, and identify underperforming accounts
- Oversee workers’ compensation, general liability, insurance programs, claims, and related financial exposure
- Maintain strong internal controls, approval processes, and financial policies
- Manage tax planning, compliance, audits, and relationships with outside accountants and advisors
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial, payroll, and reporting requirements
- Build and manage the finance and accounting team, including Controllers, accounting staff, payroll, AP, and AR
- Improve financial systems, reporting infrastructure, automation, and data accuracy
- Evaluate major contracts, capital expenditures, investments, and strategic initiatives
- Support acquisitions, financing transactions, due diligence, and integration as needed
- Serve as the CEO and ownership group’s primary financial partner
Qualifications
- 5+ years of senior financial leadership experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, or similar role
- Strong background in facility services, staffing, construction services, field services, or another high-headcount, labor driven business
- Significant experience with multi-state payroll, job costing, and hourly workforces
- Strong command of GAAP accounting, FP&A, cash management, budgeting, and financial controls
- Experience managing insurance and workers’ compensation in a labor-intensive environment
- Proven ability to analyze profitability at the customer, contract, and location level
- Experience presenting financial results directly to CEOs, owners, partners, or boards
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and manage a high-performing finance department
- Hands-on operator who can identify problems, implement controls, and build scalable financial processes
Compensation: Starting salary of $200000, with full compensation package discussed during the interview process.
