Job Description

ItchTickets is a growing ticketing business looking for an AI-forward Director of Operations & Finance to manage financial performance, improve operations, and build systems that help us scale.

You’ll work directly with the founder, oversee finance, and partner with our existing operations team to improve how the business runs. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can identify a problem, build a solution, and implement it.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash flow, working capital, and funding needs for purchases, payroll, and other obligations.
• Maintain cash flow forecasts, budgets, and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and coordination with outside accountants.
• Track revenue, expenses, profitability, outstanding balances, and expected marketplace payouts.
• Provide the founder with clear weekly financial reports and actionable insights.
• Improve operational workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and establish clear accountability.
• Build dashboards and internal systems that connect financial and operational data.
• Use AI, automation, and software integrations to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and flag issues early.
• Establish documented procedures and financial controls, including payment approvals and access permissions.
• Lead system implementation with internal teams, developers, and outside vendors.

Requirements

• Experience managing both finance and operational improvement in a growing business.
• Strong understanding of cash flow, financial statements, budgeting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Demonstrated experience building and implementing systems using AI and automation.
• Ability to connect tools and data through integrations, APIs, or automation platforms.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Ability to lead projects, hold teams accountable, and communicate clearly.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high transaction volume business.

Preferred Experience

• Ticketing, ecommerce, marketplaces, or similar transaction-heavy businesses.
• Tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, n8n, Make, Zapier, SQL, and reporting platforms.
• Working with developers to build custom internal tools.
