Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM (Winter) / 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM (Summer)
Compensation: 65000–95000
Role Overview
This is a newly created role supporting new product development across engineering and manufacturing. The R&D Engineer will focus on technical drawings, documentation, research, and structured execution, helping move ideas from concept to production-ready solutions. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, technically minded professional who enjoys documentation, design support, and cross-functional collaboration. Candidates with CNC, drafting, or manufacturing backgrounds who are stronger in documentation and technical support than machine operation may be an excellent fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Support new product development initiatives from concept through handoff
- Create, maintain, and revise CAD drawings and technical documentation
- Research standards, materials, and best practices related to product design
- Document prototypes, testing results, revisions, and design decisions
- Support prototyping and validation efforts as needed
- Own assigned R&D workstreams, timelines, and deliverables
- Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product teams to ensure accuracy and readiness
- Maintain organized records to support repeatability and future development
Qualifications- Strong documentation, drawing, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of CAD and 3D design tools
- Familiarity with manufacturing or production environments
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Clear communicator across technical and non-technical teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
