Job Overview

Ohel Children’s Home and Family Services is seeking dedicated and responsible staff to work with individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities in supportive residential settings located in Brooklyn, Queens, Lower East Side, Far Rockaway, and Long Island. Shifts include day, evening, overnight, and substitute positions.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with activities of daily living
• Accompanying them to medical appointments
• Assisting with meal preparation and serving
• Providing companionship through productive activities that foster independence and community engagement

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to promote meaningful outcomes
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to speak and write English
• A valid NY or NJ driver’s license for some positions

Salary

$18.30 per hour for day/afternoon/evening shifts and $18.05 per hour for overnight shifts.
