Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Director to lead our early childhood education program. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for working with children, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to creating a nurturing, safe, and educational environment for both children and staff.
As the Preschool Director, you will oversee daily operations, ensure the safety and development of students, and foster a collaborative, positive atmosphere for the entire team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and inspire a team of educators and staff to provide high-quality early childhood education.
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth.
- Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and staff, serving as a primary point of communication.
- Monitor and evaluate children’s progress, adjusting strategies to meet individual needs.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, and safety standards.
- Manage administrative tasks including scheduling, budgeting, staffing, and reporting.
- Conduct staff training and professional development to enhance teaching practices.
- Promote an inclusive, diverse, and respectful learning environment.
- Engage with the local community to build partnerships that benefit the preschool.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Previous leadership or management experience in early childhood education preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for children’s growth and development.
- Knowledge of early childhood education best practices and state regulations.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
