Temple Sinai Nursery School, a NAEYC accredited, Reggio-inspired, play-based program in Upper Northwest DC is seeking experienced educators to join our faculty for the 2025-2026 school year!
At TSNS, teachers work together to facilitate a culture of collaboration, curiosity, wonder, community, and joy. We offer a vibrant learning environment for children ages 18 months through five years, focused first and foremost on supporting social-emotional development and learning through hands-on exploration and play. Our faculty is the heart of our program, shaping an exciting array of experiences for learning and growth, fostering the development of deep friendships, and forging trusting connections between home and school.
We are looking for teachers who:
· Are fascinated with young children's ideas and find joy in their play
· Establish positive, trusting relationships with families
· Attend to the safety of children at all times
· Have excellent observational and communication skills
· Work as part of a teaching team and remain calm under pressure
· Display a growth mindset, incorporating feedback to grow as professionals
· Possess strong planning and organizational skills
· Are committed to professionalism, and treat children, family members, and colleagues with dignity and respect
· Other nursery school duties as may be assigned
Qualified applicants for Teaching positions will have an Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (minimum of 12 semester hours in early childhood); at least two years of experience working in a preschool setting; an interest in learning more about the Reggio Approach; and a desire to work in a warm Reform Jewish community (but do not need to identify as Jewish).
This year, we are seeking teachers for the following positions:
· Extended Day Teacher (10am-6pm)
· Extended Day Assistant Teacher (12pm-6pm)
· “Core Morning Program” Assistant Teacher (8:15-2:15pm)
· Resource Teacher (8am-3pm)

Salary: $31,000 to $61,000 depending on role, scheduled hours, and education credentials
