Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations, ensure nonprofit compliance, and support our mission through strong financial management. This role is full-time and on-site in the Five Towns of Long Island.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and oversee financial records in compliance with nonprofit standards
- Manage QuickBooks and reconcile with CRM software (DonorPerfect)
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and donor reporting
- Process wires, checks, and expense documentation
- Support annual audits and ensure regulatory compliance
- Monitor cash flow and assist with financial planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Nonprofit accounting experience; familiarity with IRS Form 990 preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks; DonorPerfect experience a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
