Job Description
The Technical & Finance Officer is responsible for integrating technical operations with financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This role ensures that technical projects, systems, and assets are financially sound, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational goals. The position requires strong collaboration between technical teams and finance stakeholders to support informed decision-making and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Responsibilities
- Support planning, implementation, and monitoring of technical projects and systems
- Evaluate technical requirements and translate them into cost estimates and budgets
- Monitor performance, maintenance, and lifecycle costs of technical assets
- Ensure compliance with technical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with engineers, IT teams, vendors, and contractors as needed
Financial Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage budgets related to technical operations and projects
- Track expenditures, analyze variances, and prepare financial reports
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and financial forecasting for technical initiatives
- Support procurement processes, including vendor evaluation and contract costing
- Ensure financial compliance, documentation, and audit readiness
Reporting & Analysis
- Develop integrated technical and financial reports for management
- Provide insights to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resources
- Support strategic planning through data-driven recommendations
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a technical, financial, or hybrid role (depending on level)
- Strong understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control
- Familiarity with technical systems, infrastructure, or project management
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
