Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
The Credentialing & Onboarding Specialist plays a critical role in the organization by ensuring that our healthcare facilities and physicians are following federal and state guidelines, that medical providers have the necessary licenses they require, and that all new employees at Premium Health are onboarded smoothly and efficiently. This role will own and run the onboarding process across all departments, ensuring a consistent, positive new-hire experience that reflects Premium Health’s values. The Specialist also maintains records of training and certifications for medical staff.
Credentialing & Onboarding Specialists utilize their acute knowledge of medical terminology, strong organizational skills, and commitment to operational excellence to verify provider credentials, manage the onboarding process, and ensure Premium Health’s utmost standard of CARE: Compassion, Agility, Respect, and Excellence.

Responsibilities:
Credentialing of Clinical Staff
- Review and authenticate credentials, qualifications, licenses, certifications, and other relevant documents submitted by clinical providers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct credentialing and contracting for the organization and providers with Health Insurance payors so services can be billed. This includes maintaining provider files, managing CAQH profiles, submitting applications, and following through until approvals are secured.
- Ensure providers meet all legal, regulatory, and training requirements.
Onboarding of All Employees
- Own and manage the onboarding process for all new employees across Premium Health (clinical and non-clinical).
- Prepare, distribute, and collect all necessary new-hire documentation.
- Coordinate with department leaders to ensure new employees have access to required systems, tools, and training.
- Conduct onboarding sessions to introduce new hires to Premium Health’s mission, values, compliance standards, and organizational policies.
- Track and follow up on outstanding onboarding requirements to ensure timely completion.
- Partner with HR leadership to continuously improve the onboarding process for efficiency and employee experience.
Database Management
- Maintain comprehensive databases or records of credentialed providers and onboarding status for all employees.
- Track license expirations, certification renewals, and onboarding completion milestones.
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance in all recordkeeping.
Communication and Collaboration
- Advise staff and providers of required “renew by” dates for licenses and certifications.
- Act as the primary point of contact for new hires throughout the onboarding process, ensuring clear communication and support.
- Work closely with department leaders, providers, and organizational staff to ensure compliance and seamless onboarding.
- Respond to inquiries, stay current on requirements, and resolve compliance or onboarding issues.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Associate degree in healthcare or business administration preferred
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of policies, laws, and procedures
- Strong computer skills
- Proficiency in database management
- Team-oriented with excellent multitasking, telephone, and organizational skills
Compensation:
$55,000–$60,000 annualized per year, commensurate with experience
