Health Insurance Broker Analyst

📍 Location: On-Site

🕘 Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

💰 Salary Range: $55,000–$80,000 (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Health Insurance Broker Analyst to support brokers and clients through policy research, data analysis, compliance oversight, and implementation support. This role serves as a key liaison between internal teams, insurance carriers, and clients, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service throughout the policy lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working with insurance data, tools, and carrier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Broker Support

  • Serve as a liaison between brokers, clients, and insurance carriers to ensure efficient account servicing
  • Support client onboarding, renewals, and issue resolution

Policy Analysis

  • Research and analyze insurance policies across multiple carriers
  • Compare premiums, deductibles, coverage options, and plan structures to recommend best-fit solutions

Requests for Proposal (RFPs)

  • Submit and manage RFPs across open market, self-funded, level-funded, level-select, and PEO options

Data & Reporting

  • Analyze commissions, claims data, and usage metrics to support strategic decision-making
  • Prepare insights and summaries for internal teams and leadership

Implementation & Tools

  • Assist with CRM and quoting system implementation and optimization
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), training documentation, and feedback collection

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for applications and renewals
  • Ensure all plans meet applicable state and federal regulatory requirements

Client Communication

  • Act as a primary point of contact for client inquiries related to claims, renewals, and plan changes

Market Research

  • Stay current on industry trends, new products, and regulatory updates

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Prior experience in health insurance or a related field preferred
  • Proficiency with CRM and HRIS platforms
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
