📌 Now Hiring: School-Based Mental Health Professional (LCSW or LMHC)

Location: Flatbush, Brooklyn

Position Type: In-School / On-Site

A well-established boys’ elementary school in Flatbush is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Professional (LCSW or LMHC) to support students’ emotional, social, and behavioral development in a warm, nurturing school environment. The ideal candidate is collaborative, student-centered, and committed to fostering overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students
• Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create effective intervention plans
• Conduct assessments and maintain organized, confidential documentation
• Lead staff workshops on mental health awareness and best practices
• Connect students and families to community resources when appropriate

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling
• Valid NYS LCSW or LMHC license
• Experience working with children (school setting preferred)
• Strong understanding of child development and school-based mental health needs
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
