Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant documentation to support student advocacy cases.
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, motions, and contracts.
- Organize, manage, and maintain detailed case files and supporting records.
- Track important deadlines and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
- Coordinate communication with clients, families, witnesses, and external professionals involved in legal matters.
- Maintain accurate updates on case progress and provide administrative support to the legal team.
- Support the organization’s mission by assisting in advocacy efforts to ensure students receive appropriate educational services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
- Proven experience working as a paralegal or in a similar legal support role.
- Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in legal software, case management systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
