Job Description

New York Home Care is looking for a Billing Specialist for a large home care agency in Rockand County, NY (Suffern). 

Responsibilities:

• Experience verifying insurance eligibility.
• Knowledge of electronic billing processes.
• Assist with past due invoice collections
• Handle vendor inquiries promptly and maintain/update customer files
• Process adjustments and run monthly AR reports for review
• Support the credit and collections department for any overpayment support as needed
• Manage cash receipts and reporting activities
• Perform other ad hoc reporting and projects as requested

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a team environment is a self-starter, quick learner, excellent communication and research skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle a fast-paced and challenging work environment is a necessity.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel computer application skills required
• High level of determination and motivation; the ability to go above and beyond; and positive communication skills are a must.
• Knowledge of the HHA Exchange Billing system is preferable but not necessary.
