LBAPS is seeking an experienced Director of Legal Activities (Attorney or Paralegal) to oversee all legal, compliance, and regulatory operations. This pivotal leadership role will work closely with the executive team to ensure adherence to all applicable laws, ethical standards, and best practices within our behavioral health organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance, contracts, and risk management activities.
• Draft, review, and maintain legal documents and agreements.
• Advise leadership on legal obligations, policies, and strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with external counsel and regulatory agencies.
• Develop, implement, and monitor internal compliance programs.

Qualifications

• J.D. (Attorney) or Paralegal Certification with substantial legal experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in legal or compliance roles (preferred).
• Knowledge of healthcare, employment, or corporate law is a plus.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Licensed to practice in New York (if applicable).
