Job Summary

We are seeking an Amazon Channel Head to manage our Amazon marketplace operations (Seller Central, Vendor Central). You will own full P&L responsibility for the Amazon channel, driving growth, profitability, and operational efficiency across multiple teams. You’ll be overseeing Brand Managers and cross-functional teams, ensuring excellence in advertising, marketing, catalog content, replenishment, design, logistics, and account health. Previous Amazon experience and a strong operational mindset are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Growth Execution
  • Develop and implement a robust Amazon strategy (Seller & Vendor Central) to meet revenue, margin, and growth goals.
  • Identify opportunities for product launches, promotional campaigns, and category growth.
  • P&L Ownership
  • Manage all financial aspects of the Amazon channel: sales forecasting, budgeting, cost controls, margin optimization, and profitability.
  • Track performance vs. targets, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Team Management
  • Lead and manage approx. 3 Brand Managers, as well as teams in Advertising & Marketing, Replenishment, Catalog & Content, Graphics/Design, and Logistics/Backend operations.
  • Set clear objectives, KPIs, and conduct performance reviews to develop and empower your teams.
  • Advertising, Marketing & Listing Optimization
  • Oversee all ad campaigns (PPC, DSP, Sponsored Ads, etc.), marketing initiatives, and Amazon-specific channels (Vine, Deals, Lightning, etc.).
  • Ensure listings (titles, descriptions, images, A+ content) are optimized for conversion, SEO, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create compelling visuals and strong brand presence.
  • Inventory Management & Logistics
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet demand while preventing overstock.
  • Coordinate with supply chain to avoid stockouts and optimize warehouse/logistics.
  • Oversee FBA/Vendor shipments, logistics workflows, and backend operations.
  • Catalog Management & Data Accuracy
  • Manage product introduction, variations, catalog hygiene, and policy compliance.
  • Ensure accurate product data, optimized for search rankings and conversion.
  • Account Health & Compliance
  • Maintain top account health by monitoring metrics such as performance notifications, policy violations, customer feedback, and returns.
  • Manage key relationships with Amazon representatives, including vendor/seller support and account managers.
  • Analytics & Performance Reporting
  • Use data to track performance, identify trends, and drive improvements.
  • Build actionable dashboards and reports (sales, margin, ROI, inventory turns, etc.).
  • Leverage insights to make data-driven decisions and refine strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal teams such as product development, finance, supply chain, customer service, and legal to ensure smooth operations.
  • Align product launches, promotions, and forecasts with internal business objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Stay informed about Amazon platform changes, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation tools, or external partnerships to optimize operations and increase efficiency.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience managing Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central channels in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of driving Amazon revenue growth, with expertise in advertising, listing optimization, inventory management, and policy compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to work with performance data, create forecasts, and develop strategies based on metrics.
  • Experienced in managing teams across different functions: advertising, content, logistics, replenishment, and more.
  • Excellent project management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with internal stakeholders and Amazon representatives.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, with a clear focus on driving growth and profitability.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in consumer goods / CPG or similar industries.
  • Familiarity with tools like Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Amazon Brand Analytics, Profit & Loss forecasting tools.
  • Strong understanding of Amazon’s marketplace ecosystem and latest trends.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems, supply chain processes, and Amazon's logistics network.
