Now Hiring: Credentialed Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)
Location: Brooklyn, NY (Outpatient Treatment Center)
Schedule: Full-Time | 30 hours per week
Compensation: $50,000–$60,000 annually (hourly equivalent)

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced CASAC to join our growing outpatient treatment program. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with individuals navigating substance use disorders in a client-centered, supportive environment, while also contributing to the development of a new OASAS program.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments and intakes
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual and group counseling, utilizing evidence-based practices such as CBT and Motivational Interviewing
- Support clients with recovery goals, relapse prevention, and coping strategies
- Coordinate care with healthcare providers, community agencies, and support systems
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
- Provide psychoeducation to clients and families
- Participate in team meetings and collaborative treatment planning
Qualifications
- Valid CASAC certification (required)
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in substance use treatment (outpatient preferred)
- Experience working with co-occurring mental health disorders
- Experience working with the Orthodox Jewish population (required)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Compassionate, ethical, and non-judgmental approach
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field (preferred)
