We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) to join our Mental Health Clinic team. This role is ideal for someone with lived recovery experience who is passionate about helping others navigate and sustain their recovery journey.

About the Role

As a CRPA, you will provide peer-based support to individuals recovering from substance use disorders. Using lived experience, empathy, and practical recovery tools, you will support clients through one-on-one meetings, group facilitation, and connection to vital community resources.

This is a hands-on, heart-centered role for someone who believes in recovery, dignity, and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one peer support using lived experience to encourage and motivate clients
  • Lead or co-facilitate recovery-focused support groups
  • Support clients with relapse prevention, coping skills, and goal setting
  • Connect clients to community resources (healthcare, housing, employment, legal, and social services)
  • Assist clients in engaging with recovery services such as 12-step programs and vocational training
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential documentation
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and participate in team meetings and trainings

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • CRPA certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe)
  • Lived experience in recovery from substance use or co-occurring disorders
  • Prior peer support or recovery-related experience preferred
  • Experience working with the Orthodox Jewish community preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and group facilitation skills
