Job Description

Full or Part Time Service Technician to perform PM, Inspections, Calibration and repair for wide variety of medical and laboratory equipment.

The position will be for a self-starter who can work in the field to maintain customer relationships while resolving equipment failures and completing facility scheduled preventive maintenance.

Trainees with electronics service experience considered.

ACE medical equipment Inc. is seeking full or part time, entry or advance level experienced Medical Equipment Technicians, for inspecting and maintaining a variety of medical and laboratory equipment such as monitors, scales, oxygen concentrators, CPM machines, vital signs monitors, etc.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Inspecting, testing, and calibrating biomedical equipment.
  • Performing scheduled preventive maintenance.
  • Customer relationship skills.
  • Requires travel.
  • Field and Shop Service Repairs.
  • General troubleshooting and problem solving to effect repairs.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Service management and leadership experience a plus.
  • Be a positive ambassador for ACE medical equipment at Customer sites.

What You Need To Be Successful:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (at times outside “normal business hours”) and travel as required.
  • Strong technical, organizational, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently without supervision.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple, changing priorities.
  • Willingness to work in a hospital setting that may include visibility to emergency trauma.
  • Physical working requirements include: Routine movement such as walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling and grasping.
  • Performing work from floor level to above shoulder height. This may include the use of ladder.
  • Be able to lift, and carry weights up to 55 pounds.
  • Walking and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Working in confined spaces and under variable temperatures.

Education:

  • Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Medical Equipment Repair: 1 year (Preferred)
  • General Equipment Repair Service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Hospital service: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

  • Fluent English and have ability to communicate effectively

License/Certification:

  • Clean Driver's License (Required)
