Job Description
JCCGCI Inc. is looking for a compassionate and caring individual who has a passion for working with the older adult population. The Program Coordinator will assist in the coordination of Center educational and recreational activities, provide case assistance services, and help oversee the day-to-day management of our busy Brooklyn-based Older Adult Center.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Director in program planning and the development of Center programming and activities.
- Provide administrative support to the Director.
- Attend meetings alongside the Director and assist in taking minutes, preparing materials, and following up on action items.
- Serve as a liaison between the Director and community partners, vendors, etc.
- Support the Director with implementation and follow-up on new initiatives and specialprojects.
- Coordinate with staff on the Director’s behalf to ensure clarity of expectations and smoothimplementation of directives.
- Provide resources to clients, entitlement counseling and case assistance.
- Assist in inventory control and the purchase supplies.
- Prepare reports, track attendance and other required records.
- Document services including client intake, and client forms.
- Help supervise Center menu-planning and related food and nutritional services.
- Help ensure policies, procedures, and organizational standards are upheld under the Director’s guidance.
- Step in for the Director during absences or as needed to ensure smooth operation of the Center.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of human services experience required.
- Computer literacy a must.
Full time/On-Site/$33 per hour
