Chayenu is a global Torah content organization dedicated to promoting daily and weekly Torah study through clear and engaging language and across multiple formats. Our flagship subscription-based print publication reaches readers around the world, and our Torah content is also distributed through an app, a WhatsApp channel, books, websites, and other publications. Our mission is to make authentic Torah learning accessible, meaningful, and engaging for a broad audience.
Position Overview
Chayenu is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Editor to join our editorial and production team. The Editor will play an important role in researching, editing, proofreading, and preparing Torah content for publication across Chayenu’s print and digital platforms. The Chayenu Editor is part of the editorial and production team that produces high-quality, authentic, accurate, and error-free Torah content across our platforms and products. The ideal candidate will have strong Torah knowledge, excellent English language skills, and the ability to ensure that all content is clear, accurate, and error-free.
Key Responsibilities
Working closely with the Editor in Chief, the Editor will have the following responsibilities:
- Research, compile and write Torah content for the Chayenu print, the Chayenu app, and other publications
- Proofread and edit Chayenu material prior to publication
- Review layout and content to ensure accuracy and clarity
- Identify and correct errors in Chayenu print and digital publications
- Respond to content-related inquiries
- Work closely with the Editor-in-Chief and the production team to meet tight publication deadlines
Qualifications- Strong knowledge of Torah subjects, including proficiency in Chumash, Tanya, Rambam, and classical Torah texts
- Basic technological proficiency
- Excellent command of English (reading, understanding, and writing)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Willing to learn new processes and help develop new ones when necessary
- Previous editorial or publishing experience is preferred

Position DetailsFull-time – approximately 40 hours per week. Due to the nature of publication deadlines, flexibility in work hours may occasionally be required.
