Company Overview
Rockwest Real Estate is seeking a highly motivated Real Estate Investment / Asset Management Associate to play a key role in the repositioning and turnaround of two multifamily properties located in Houston, TX.

Role Overview
This individual will serve as a critical partner in executing the asset’s business plan. The role is ideal for a professional with 3-4 years of experience in real estate investment, asset management, or acquisitions, who is ready to take on significant responsibility and leadership. The candidate will help drive strategy, operations, and financial performance for assets undergoing operational and financial improvements. Although the position is remote, the role requires regular travel to the properties several times per month to oversee operations, collaborate with property management, leasing, and maintenance, and ensure execution of the turnaround strategy.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Partner directly with ownership to develop and execute a comprehensive asset turnaround strategy
• Help implement value-add initiatives, operational improvements, and capital plans
• Analyze property performance and identify opportunities to improve NOI, occupancy, and operational efficiency
• Oversee and coordinate with property management, leasing, and maintenance teams
• Monitor and evaluate property-level financials, budgets, and performance metrics
• Build and maintain financial models and operational analyses in Excel
• Prepare executive-level presentations and reporting materials in PowerPoint
• Conduct on-site visits to evaluate operations, capital projects, leasing activity, and property conditions
• Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders
• Assist with strategic decision-making regarding leasing, renovations, operations, and financial performance
• Ensure accountability and performance across operational teams
