Job Summary

iTaLAM, a leading global EdTech organization advancing Hebrew language and Jewish heritage education, is hiring an experienced Sales Representative to support growth in the North American market.


This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on acquiring new clients (Jewish day schools), expanding engagement within existing schools, and supporting long-term retention. The Sales Representative will work closely with - and report to - the Director of Business Development, execute the defined sales strategy, and provide ongoing performance tracking and reporting.

iTaLAM is a pioneering organization that created a blended digital and print curriculum, redefining Hebrew language and Jewish education for Jewish day schools. Building on the success of the original print-based TaLAM program, iTaLAM has spent over a decade setting the gold standard for immersive Hebrew in Hebrew (Ivrit b’Ivrit) learning for Grades 1–5.

By putting proven pedagogy and instructional tools into the hands of educators around the world, iTaLAM now serves more than 300 Jewish day and community schools of all affiliations across 35 countries, reaching approximately 30,000 students annually.

 

Core Responsibilities

Sales Execution & Territory Management

  • New Client Acquisition: Proactively identify potential schools, build relationships, conduct presentations, and close sales with school leadership.
  • Account Management & Growth: Work with existing schools to identify opportunities to expand program usage (adding grade levels/products) and maximize the potential within the client portfolio.
  • Client Retention: Identifying at-risk schools and execute active retention measures under the guidance of the Director of Business Development.
  • Prevention of "Surprises" & Business Intelligence Management: Collaborate closely with Pedagogical Liaisons to maintain up-to-date field intelligence, including early awareness of satisfaction issues or staffing changes. Ensure smooth renewals by addressing potential challenges early and maintaining strong, ongoing relationships with school leadership.

 

Reporting & Control

  • Reporting to Director of Business Development: Organized weekly reporting to the Director regarding Pipeline status, meetings held, closing forecasts, and barriers.
  • Data Management: Accurate and ongoing entry of all activity, leads, and deals into the organization's information systems.
  • Policy Implementation: Strict adherence to pricing, discount, and contract procedures as defined by management.

 

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in field sales / B2B sales with a proven track record of meeting targets and driving growth (preference for experience in education or EdTech).
  • Languages: Native-level English (required) and proficiency in Hebrew.
  • Sales Skills: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive processes and close deals.
  • Mission & Values: A deep connection to Jewish identity, the Hebrew language, and the State of Israel.
  • Independence & Mobility: Based in the U.S. or Canada, ability to work remotely from home, and willingness to travel frequently within the territory.


Independent Contractor Status

This position is offered as an independent contractor role. The contractor is responsible for all applicable taxes, insurance, and benefits. This role does not include employee benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement contributions.


The contractor will operate with a high degree of autonomy while aligning closely with iTaLAM’s sales strategy, reporting requirements, and organizational goals. This engagement is expected to be long-term, subject to performance and annual contract renewal.


Compensation Structure

Compensation is structured on an achievement-based model (OTE), consisting of a monthly retainer and performance-based commissions/bonuses tied to strategic sales targets.
