Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Property Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our real estate portfolio, processing vendor payments, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing insightful analysis to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and reconcile financial accounts for multiple properties
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and expense reports
Process and track vendor payments, security deposits, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers
Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve profitability
Coordinate with property management team to ensure accurate billing and collection of rent
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
Provide support for annual audits and tax returns
Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field (recent graduates welcome to apply)
0-3 years of experience in property accounting or related field (internships or academic projects considered)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
Proficiency in accounting software, such as AppFolio (training provided)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Pay commensurate on experience
