Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Woodcliff Lake, NJ 07677
Pay: $85,000 - $115,000/year (depending on experience)
RESPONSIBILITIES
?? Process vendor invoices with precision and timeliness, ensuring adherence to payment terms and company policies.
?? Verify invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies directly with vendors.
?? Maintain vendor verification records and certificates of insurance.
?? Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
?? Analyze invoices/expense reports and record entries to charge expenses to accounts and cost centers.
?? Prepare and process electronic transfers, checks, and ACH payments.
?? Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos.
?? Manage stop-payments and purchase order amendments.
?? Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
?? Reconcile vendor account balances and address discrepancies or credits.
?? Organize and file historical records securely.
?? Protect confidential organizational information.
?? Update job knowledge through participation in educational opportunities.
?? Verify employee expense reports and manage advance requests.
?? Support the accounting team with additional tasks and ad hoc financial projects.
?? Professionally and promptly respond to vendor inquiries.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3+ years in accounting or related field.
Real estate or property management experience is a plus!
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (5+ years preferred).
Familiarity with RealPage and Entrata is ideal.
Skills:
Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processing and General Ledger systems.
Highly organized with excellent analytical skills.
Detail-oriented and thorough.
