Position Overview:
The Controller will serve as a key member of our leadership team, overseeing all financial functions of the organization. This role requires strong experience in construction accounting, cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all financial and accounting activities of the company
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Manage job costing, project budgeting, and WIP (Work in Progress) schedules
• Implement and enforce internal controls and financial policies
• Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate tracking of project costs and profitability
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions
• Assist leadership with strategic financial planning and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with all tax, legal, and regulatory requirements
• Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial systems and software
Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting, cost accounting, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
• Experience with construction management software
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
