General Description:

The Financial Controller will oversee the financial services team and manage day-to-day financial operations, including reconciliations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. This role will be responsible for completing quarterly and annual financial reporting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and coordinating financial and compliance audits.

Essential Functions:

• Manage and oversee student tuition accounts.
• Prepare and present financial reports to Senior Management.
• Supervise business insurance plans and policies.
• Review and approve all purchasing activity.
• Manage travel and continuing education requests and expenses.
• Maintain and reconcile financing activities, bank accounts, and credit cards.
• Interface with external accounting firms to coordinate audits and tax return filings.
• Oversee the creation and distribution of required financial filings, including 1098T and 1099 Forms.
• Ensure compliance with all financial functions.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Work Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance-related field.

Education Requirements:

• Master’s Degree preferred; Bachelor’s Degree required.

This Controller position will play a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to support the organization's goals and objectives.
