🛠️ Job Responsibilities:
As a Real Estate Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper, you’ll manage financial data and ensure it’s accurate, organized, and compliant. Key responsibilities include:
- Record Financial Transactions: Accurately track income, expenses, and activities using accounting software
- Maintain General Ledger: Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare Financial Statements: Create monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for stakeholders
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Monitor invoices, payments, and aging accounts while fostering strong relationships with vendors and clients
- Bank Reconciliation: Match internal records with bank statements and correct any mismatches
- Tax Preparation: Assist in preparing and filing accurate tax returns in coordination with accountants

Must-have:
- High school diploma (associate degree in accounting or finance preferred)
- Proficiency in accounting software (real estate accounting experience is a plus)
- Solid knowledge of bookkeeping principles
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Analytical skills to spot and resolve discrepancies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
