We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Plumbing Estimator to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Junior Plumbing Estimator, you will work directly with the lead estimator and play a crucial role in our project bidding and estimation process. This is a hybrid position which requires both in person and remote work and no prior experience is necessary. We will provide comprehensive training to help you succeed in this role. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing Plans and Blueprints: Analyze and interpret architectural plans and blueprints to understand project requirements.
• Takeoffs for Estimates: Accurately measure and quantify materials needed for plumbing installations and repairs based on blueprints.
• Pricing Lists: Utilize and update pricing lists to prepare cost estimates for various projects.
• Writing Up Estimates: Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for plumbing projects, including labor, materials, and other associated costs.
• Negotiating Pricing: Work with suppliers and vendors to negotiate the best possible pricing for materials and services.
• Working Independently: Manage your workload effectively while working remotely without direct supervision.

Key Qualifications:

• Detail-Oriented: Must have a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all estimates and calculations.
• Proficiency in Excel: Strong knowledge of Excel is essential, as you will be using it frequently for data analysis, calculations, and reporting.
• Ability to Read Blueprints: Familiarity with or willingness to learn how to read and interpret blueprints is crucial.
• Self-Motivated: Able to work independently and manage your time effectively in a remote work environment.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members, suppliers, and clients.
