Full-Time | Leadership Role | Outpatient Substance Use Treatment
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly motivated OASAS Program Director to lead our OASAS-certified Outpatient Substance Abuse Disorder Treatment Program. This is a key leadership position for a seasoned clinician who combines strong clinical judgment with operational and regulatory expertise.
The Program Director will oversee all aspects of program operations, staff supervision, compliance, and quality of care—ensuring clients receive effective, evidence-based treatment in a supportive and culturally sensitive environment.

- Status: Full-time, Exempt
- Schedule: 35 hours per week
- Salary: $95,000–$100,000

About the Role
The OASAS Program Director is responsible for the overall leadership, development, and compliance of the outpatient substance use treatment program. This role ensures adherence to OASAS regulations while fostering a high-quality, recovery-oriented treatment environment for clients and a supportive workplace for staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the outpatient substance use treatment program
- Ensure full compliance with OASAS, state, and federal regulations
- Develop, implement, and enforce program policies and procedures
- Supervise and support clinical staff, including training and performance oversight
- Oversee treatment planning, clinical documentation, and discharge processes
- Monitor program outcomes, quality assurance, and continuous improvement efforts
- Conduct staff meetings and promote effective team communication
- Prepare reports on program performance, compliance, and outcomes
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and referral sources
- Represent the program in community meetings and outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work (LMSW/LCSW) or Mental Health Counseling (LMHC); other relevant degrees considered
- Active NYS license (LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC required)
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or program management role
- Required experience in outpatient substance use treatment
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment models (CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, etc.)
- Experience working with the Orthodox Jewish community required
- CASAC or additional substance use certifications a plus
