PART-TIME 20-25 HRS PER WEEK

This is a unique opportunity to work with IDEKO, an award-winning full-service experiential production agency specializing in designing, building and permitting live events.

IDEKO is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented and versatile bookkeeper to join our team. This role will support all aspects of financial recordkeeping, including but not limited to; recording financial transactions and customer payments, managing accounts receivables and payables, and reconciling credit card transactions and bank statements. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day activities of cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits, collections, and accounts payable.
• Maintaining organized payment files and invoice files
• Reconcile sales tax payments each month and submit to NYS
• Maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger
• Manage company payroll on our payroll platform inclusive of scheduling payments as needed. 
• Mange QuickBooks
• Support monthly credit card lifecycle, data input, coding, reconciliation, etc.
• Communicating with project managers, vendors, and external parties to manage requests/requirements, billing verification and collection matters.
• Perform/review bank account reconciliations other corporate monthly internal reports.
• Assist with special projects as requested.

Desired Skills

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field with a minimum of 7+ years’ experience managing accounting functions in a similar small-company corporate environment with multiple operating units.
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Divvy, Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook
• Proven history of meeting deadlines with accuracy and timeliness
• Have excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to pass a background check.
