Description:

We're seeking a full-time Director of Marketing with a strong passion for marketing and expertise in social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook. Responsibilities include developing and executing social media strategies, creating compelling content for posts, and managing all aspects of social media accounts.

Preferably based in LA or NY, but can be remote.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

The Jewish Grad Organization (JGO) is a non-profit organization that supports Jewish graduate students on 139 grad campuses across North America, as well as our alumni, in their professional and personal growth by creating an environment where they can connect, grow, and give back to the Jewish community.

Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management: The Marketing Generalist will be responsible for managing all of our social media platforms, including posting, content scheduling, and maintaining an organized content calendar. Also, this position will plan, implement, and optimize paid social media advertising campaigns to reach and engage our target audience. Analyzing campaign performance and adjusting strategies as needed. The goal is to drive engagement and build a community of followers.
  • Content Creation and Design: This role involves creating and designing marketing materials for all of our programs and events. This could include anything from designing flyers and posters to creating social media graphics and video content.
  • Email and Newsletter Development: The Marketing Generalist will be responsible for creating and developing engaging email campaigns and newsletters. This includes writing copy, designing layouts, and tracking analytics to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns.
  • Website Management: This role will also involve revamping and managing our website. This includes updating content, ensuring the site is optimized for SEO, and making regular updates to keep the site fresh and engaging.
  • Email and Event Marketing: Creating and implementing email marketing campaigns to promote JGO’s events and programs. Managing event marketing logistics and coordination.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing or a related field
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software
  • Experience with email marketing platforms like MailChimp or Constant Contact
  • Knowledge of website CMS platforms like WebFlow, WordPress, or Squarespace
  • Familiarity with social media platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter (X), TikTok, and Facebook.
