Job Description

Key Objective(s):

The candidate for this position must be interested in working for a diversified company and eager to learn more about business and to support real estate and the financial growth of the company. This position will be supporting the Chairman of an international and diversified Real Estate & Finance Conglomerate (Triple Five World Wide), headquartered in New Jersey near Met Life Stadium

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interested in getting involved and learning about all sorts of transactions.
  • Communicate with clients giving legal advice and set legal strategies to help clients determine the best possible outcome for any transaction and legal concerns.
  • Attend client meetings for strategy and case assessment.
  • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to business and legal conflicts and determine the best course of action.
  • Attend meetings and review/approve/finalize non-attorney work product.
  • Create legal documents, including correspondence, contracts, agreements, negotiations, and proceedings.
  • Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to efficiently move cases toward resolution.
  • Work with paralegals and Senior Counsel.
  • Manage the office of the Chairman and supervise non-attorney matters in maintaining the calendars and deadlines, and in managing the files (scanning all documents to the appropriate file).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA), preferred, not required
  • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills
  • Successful completion of the bar exam
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills.
  • Ability to learn new substantive business and legal topics and factual subject matters as needed based on
  • Proven leader who displays sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with partners, associates, and support staff.
  • Capable networker with excellent interpersonal, communication and public speaking skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • NJ bar license or. NY license is a plus
  • Flexible schedule/availability, weekends not required
