Job Description
Job Overview:
The Controller is responsible for the overall financial health of the properties and the management company. This includes overseeing the day-to-day financial and accounting processes, addressing high-level financial and accounting questions and issues, managing budgeting, handling contract and billing issues, and ensuring accurate monthly reporting. The Controller also oversees the administrative and accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee general accounting questions, payment processing, NSF processing, bank reconciliation, variance reporting, reclassing income/expenses, journal entries, and audits.
- Supervise new vendor setup, payment research, overnight payment requests, and all accounts payable-related issues.
- Oversee the revenue management platform to ensure maximum income is achieved.
- Research and implement programs that maximize other income.
- Negotiate corporate accounts for maintenance, office, and marketing supplies.
Qualifications:
- Experience in financial leadership in property management.
- Strong knowledge of financial and accounting processes.
- Experience in budgeting, contracts, billing, and financial reporting.
- Leadership experience in managing administrative and accounting teams.
